IMPHAL, Nov 9: Lieutenant General N K Singh, AVSM, VSM, GOC 3 Corps arrived at Impahl on a two days visit to Manipur. He was received by Major General A K Choudhary, AVSM, SM, VSM, IGAR (South) and briefed on Security Situation in the State. The General attended the CHQ meeting at Chief Minister`s office and later meeting with Mr. Y Joy Kumar Singh, IPS, DGP Manipur. Lieutenant General N K Singh, AVSM, VSM lauded the efforts of Security Forces in tackling insurgency in the state and encouraged them to continue carrying out operations in professional manner, alongwith improving relations with the local population. Corps Commander will be visiting large number of units and formations in forward area on 11 Nov 2009.
