TAMENGLONG, Nov 1: The 9th State Level Orange Festival is proposed to be held on December 12 at Tamenglong district headquarters with GK Pillai, Union secretary (Home) Government of India as the chief guest.

Decisions in these matters were taken by a meeting held at the official chamber of Sumant Singh, IAS deputy commissioner Tamenglong said a press released issued by Ramkung Pamei, convener media & publicity committee here today.

The meeting was chaired by the deputy commissioner and constituted of district level organizing committee and 12 sub-committees to look after finance, media and publicity, venue, transportation, accommodation, reception, craft exhibition, light, documentation, orange queen contest, orange collection and orange competition. All the district level officers were also given different responsibility for successful conduct of the biggest festival of the district, the released added.
