UG suspects gunned down

Imphal, Aug 2: Security forces gunned down atleast two militant suspects in a separate incidents, late last Night.
Troops of 28 AR of 9 sector under HQ IGAR (south) one KCP cadre in the general area of Chiru Khunou, during an operation that took place around 10 pm last night and recovered a 9mm pistol along with a magazine and three live rounds. The corpse of the slain militant along with the recovered items have been handed to the Lilong police the very night, informed a statement released by the PRO Assam Rifles.
On the other hand a combined team of Bishnupur district police commando and 7 AR claimed to have gunned down another KCP suspect last night around 12:10 at Keibul Sagram under Moirang police station. According to sources a 9mm pistol along with three live ammunitions were recovered from the possession of the slain militant.
