Marathon concert for tsunami relief

IMPHAL, Jan 16: A marathon charity musical concert will be held on January 28 in aid of the victims of the tsunami disaster last year. Ticket sale proceeds of the concert will be contributed to the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund.
A meeting in this regard was held today organised by the Apunba Manipuri Matam Eshei at the residence of its president, Nongmaithem Pahari.
Participants of the meeting also observed a 2-minute silence to condole the victims of the killer tsunami.
Dr. Hamom Naba, a popular artiste of the state appealed to individual singers and musical associations of different communities to unite and participate in the marathon concert for the tsunami victims.
He further appealed all concerned with music not to organise separate concerts for aid of the tsunami victims.
