Tsunami relief

IMPHAL, Dec 30: The Governor of Manipur, Dr SS Sidhu, has contributed a sum of Rs. 1,25,000 to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund for helping the victims of the recent tsunami tragedy which has claimed thousands of lives and damaged property worth crores of rupees, according to a Raj Bhavan communique.

In addition, all ranks of the Army have decided to donate one’s day salary for the national relief efforts to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund, according to a PIB (Defence Wing) press handout.
